Back in April, I was invited to co-create the project Le Volcan at York School in Dijon, organized by the City as part of its EAC ( Éducation Artistique et Culturelle ) residencies in collaboration with La Vapeur. 

The project was led by the talented musician Païkan, and together with the children we explored the theme of volcanoes. I ran three creative workshops where the students collected textures that we later transformed into a poster for the project. I also designed the visuals for the cassette tapes the children received, containing recordings from the residency. Païkan guided the students in creating two original pieces of music using the technique of field recording — an incredibly moving process. 

Now, Païkan has put together a beautiful video capturing the project and its highlights. At the end, there’s even a little bonus: behind-the-scenes footage of the cassette-making and the final artwork.
