Hi! I'm Sofia Rousseaux,
an Argentine-Brazilian illustrator and art educator based in France.
My visual world is characterised by vibrant colors, textures and symbolic imagery, often inspired by Latin American legends, mythical creatures, fauna and flora.
Through illustration, I create playful and symbolic worlds where folklore, nature and imagination meet.
Alongside my artistic practice, I have worked in education and the arts for over twenty years. I studied Education and Art Education in São Paulo, Brazil, and later specialized in picture books and contemporary art teaching. These experiences continue to shape my approach to both creating and sharing art.
Since moving to France in 2020, I have collaborated with festivals, publishers, cultural organizations and educational projects. I am also a co-founder of Atelier Moche, an artist-run coworking collective in Dijon with other seven talented artists.
