Hi! I'm Sofia Rousseaux,
an Argentine-Brazilian artist and art educator based in France.
I am drawn to vibrant colors, textures and symbolic imagery, often inspired by Latin American legends, mythical creatures, fauna and flora.
Through illustration, I create playful and symbolic worlds where folklore, nature and imagination meet.
Alongside my artistic practice, I have worked in education and the arts for over twenty years. I studied Education and Art Education in São Paulo, Brazil, and later specialised in picture books and contemporary art teaching. These experiences continue to shape my approach to both creating and sharing art.
Since moving to France in 2020, I have collaborated with festivals, publishers, cultural organizations and educational projects. I am also co-founder and member of Atelier Moche, an artist-run coworking collective in Dijon with other eight talented artists.
